Trump Says 'Roy Moore Totally Denies It' and 'We Don't Need Liberal Democrat' in Senate

President Donald Trump commented on the allegations of sexual misconduct facing Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore
"He totally denies it," Trump told reporters, adding that "we don't need a liberal Democrat" in the U.S. Senate, referring to Democrat Doug Jones.

"He gives a total denial. I do have to say 40 years is a long time. He's run eight races and this has never come up," he said, adding that most of Moore's accusers are "Trump voters."
One of Moore's accusers, Leigh Corfman, alleges that Moore pursued a sexual relationship with her in 1979, when he was an assistant district attorney, after he befriended her at a courthouse.
She accuses him of sexually molesting her when she was 14.
"It took years for me to regain a sense of confidence in myself and I felt guilty. I felt like I was the one that was to blame. It was decades before I was able to let that go," Corfman said yesterday on NBC's "Today Show."
Trump said "you have to listen to [Moore] also."
"He says this didn't happen," said Trump.
A female reporter asked Trump about his message to women in a "pivotal" time, with several prominent figures - including Trump himself - facing allegations of sexual misconduct.
Trump answered by reiterating that Moore completely denies the accusations.
"Women are very special. ... I'm very happy a lot of these things are coming out," said Trump, declining to comment on allegations against Democrats Sen. Al Franken and Rep. John Conyers.
